Saline County, AR

Saline County is located in central Arkansas, just west of Little Rock. The county seat is Benton. Saline County was formed in 1835, and was named for the salt water (brine) springs in the area. It is a dry county. Saline County has a total area of 730 square miles, of which 723 square miles is land, and 7 square miles (0.96%) is water. Based on the latest census, there were 83,529 people, 31,778 households, and 24,500 families residing in the county. The population density was 116 people per square mile.
